We recommend using ice for a minimum of 20 minutes at least 5 times per day in the first 1-2 weeks after surgery. If you prefer to ice more, you can increase the duration or frequency. After 1-2 weeks, you can adjust timing based on your comfort level.

We encourage you to use the compression feature of the ice machine if you find it comfortable. Compression is helpful in reducing swelling after surgery. However, if you find the compression to be uncomfortable, you do not need to use it.
